After this rather lazy afternoon, I went to Les Brasseurs (bar/restaurant), where I was meeting some colleagues of the World Network of Users and Survivors of Psychiatry (WNUSP, www.wnusp.net ). It was very good to see each other again.
Over dinner we prepared the side event titled “CRPD Article 15: Its Potential to End Impunity for Torture in Psychiatry.” which will take place tomorrow, Monday 30 March from 1.45 to 2.45, at the 13th session of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) in Palais Wilson. Probably this side event can be followed online via webcast at www.treatybodywebcast.org . I think it is going to be very interesting and powerful, and I am really looking forward to this well-designed event.
After dinner I went back to my hotel room again (Ibis Centre Nations). So alltogether, it was a rather calm start of my stay here, quite unusual, but good since I am pretty tired from the journey. I will go to sleep now. Tomorrow is a big day, and I want to be fresh and shiny for my presentation. I am happy to be here :)
